Вариант 1: Ссора и прощение (Ветка "It happened accidentally" и "Vicky explained why she had done it...")

Vicky broke the flower accidentally (Вики сломала цветок случайно). Vicky felt sorry about it and was very upset. She tried to grow another flower, and Vicky helped her. Vicky explained why she had done it: "It was unfair to forget a friend because of a flower." The girls are still good friends (Девочки до сих пор хорошие друзья) as if nothing had happened. Kitty doesn't have her flower, but she has a friend. Real friends should forgive each other and save their friendship in any situation. (Настоящие друзья должны прощать друг друга и сохранять свою дружбу в любой ситуации.)

Вариант 2: Доверие нарушено (Ветка "She didn't tell the truth, but Kitty guessed it" и "a high fence separates their gardens")

Vicky broke the flower because she felt jealous (Вики сломала цветок, потому что почувствовала ревность). Vicky didn't tell the truth, but Kitty guessed it. Kitty was very upset and didn't want Vicky to help her. The girls still live in the same houses, but a high fence separates their gardens (их сады разделяет высокий забор), because it’s not easy to forgive a friend who has betrayed you. (потому что нелегко простить друга, который тебя предал.)

Vicky felt sorry about it. When she came to Kitty, she immediately said: "Look here, I'm afraid to disappoint you (Послушай, я боюсь тебя разочаровать). I broke your wonderful flower. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings (Я не хотела обидеть твои чувства), it happened accidentally (это случилось случайно) when I was playing in your garden. I know it beats everything (это невероятно), but please forgive me!" Kitty was upset, but she saw how sorry Vicky was. Kitty decided: "Real friends should forgive each other and save their friendship in any situation (Настоящие друзья должны прощать друг друга и сохранять свою дружбу в любой ситуации)." Kitty hugged Vicky and said: "It's all right. We are friends, and that's the most important thing! (Все в порядке. Мы друзья, и это самое главное!)"
