54. Read the important airport words and explain what they mean. Consult a dictionary if necessary. (Прочитайте важные слова, относящиеся к аэропорту, и объясните, что они означают. При необходимости обратитесь к словарю.)

CHECK-IN (Регистрация) The process of reporting your arrival (сообщения о прибытии) at the airport and confirming your seat.
CHECK-IN DESK (Стойка регистрации) The place where you check in (регистрируетесь), show your ticket and passport, and weigh your luggage (взвешиваете свой багаж).
HAND LUGGAGE (Ручная кладь) The bag(s) or suitcase(s) that a passenger is allowed to take with them (разрешено взять с собой) into the cabin of the plane.
ARRIVALS (Прибытие) The area of the airport where incoming passengers and flights arrive (прибывают прибывающие пассажиры и рейсы).
DEPARTURE (Отправление) The act of leaving a place (покидания места) or the area of the airport where flights leave.
TAKE-OFF (Взлет) The moment when a plane leaves the ground (отрывается от земли) and begins to fly.
GATE No 8 (Выход № 8) The numbered door or passage (пронумерованная дверь или проход) through which passengers go to get on the plane.
TICKET (Билет) A document that gives you the right to travel (право путешествовать) on a plane.
BOARDING PASS (Посадочный талон) A document given at check-in that allows you to board the plane (сесть в самолет) and shows your seat number.
DECLARATION FORM (Таможенная декларация) A form that passengers must fill in (должны заполнить) to declare goods, money, or valuable items when passing through customs (таможню).
CUSTOMS (Таможня) The place at the airport where your bags are examined (проверяются) for illegal or taxable goods.
PASSPORT CONTROL (Паспортный контроль) The place where an official checks your passport and visa (проверяет твой паспорт и визу) before you enter or leave a country.
ANNOUNCEMENT (Объявление) A public message (публичное сообщение) about the flight's status, gate, or delays.
BAGGAGE RECLAIM (Выдача багажа) The area where arriving passengers collect their checked luggage (забирают свой зарегистрированный багаж).
