Australian animals are very unusual. There are kangaroos, koalas, duckbills, kookaburras, echidnas and others. The kangaroos and koalas have got a pouch in which they carry their cubs. The duckbills and echidnas’ babies come from eggs but drink milk from their mothers. There are also many kinds of parrots. The emu is the most unusual bird in Australia. It can’t fly, but it can run at 50 kilometres per hour. Kookaburra is another interesting bird. Its cry sounds like somebody’s laughter and Australians like this bird very much. Nine of ten animals, which live in Australia, don’t exist in any other countries of the world.
