His new life begins. B. Every day Robinson gets up at half past four when it gets light. After breakfast he washes in the river near his hut. Then he climbs up the mountain. Sometimes he sees ships, but nobody can hear or see him. Every day in the morning Rob- inson goes hunting to get food. C. In the afternoon Robinson goes fishing and then goes swimming in the lagoon. The sea is calm there and there aren't any sharks. At midday Robinson sits on the beach under a palm tree, eats some fruit for lunch and writes his diary. D. He can make fire now and he cooks dinner every day. He eats fish or meat. It gets dark at 6 o'clock. Robinson goes to bed early. Before going to bed he makes a cut on a piece of wood. The wood is his calendar. The seventh cut is longer. It marks the end of the week. The beginning of each month is also a longer cut.
