Present Perfect Tense

The Present Perfect tense is used to describe an action that happened at an unspecified time in the past, or an action that happened in the past but has a result in the present.

Structure: Subject + have/has + Past Participle (V³)

• For 'he/she/it', use 'has'.
• For 'I/you/we/they', use 'have'.

Examples:

• I have lost my keys. I can't find them anywhere.
• She has never been to Japan.
• They have finished their homework already.
• He has not seen that movie yet.
• Have you ever eaten sushi?
• We have known each other since primary school.
• My brother has just bought a new car.
• Has she called you back yet?
• I have not done my shopping this week.
• They have already visited three museums today.
• He has been sick for two days.
• Have you read that book before?
• The children have not cleaned their room.
• She has never ridden a horse.
