Project Work 4: My Role Models

Introduction

In this project, I will describe two people who have significantly influenced my life and served as my role models: my grandmother and a historical figure, Marie Curie.

My Grandmother

My grandmother is a woman of immense strength, kindness, and resilience. She grew up in challenging times but always managed to maintain a positive outlook and a generous spirit. Her life has been dedicated to her family, always putting our needs before her own. She taught me the importance of hard work, honesty, and compassion through her actions. Her cooking is legendary, and her stories from the past always provide valuable lessons. She is a pillar of our family, and her wisdom is a guiding light for all of us.

Marie Curie

Marie Curie, a pioneering physicist and chemist, is another of my role models. Her dedication to science and her relentless pursuit of knowledge in a field dominated by men is truly inspiring. She was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize, the first person and only woman to win the Nobel Prize twice, and the only person to win the Nobel Prize in two different scientific fields. Despite facing discrimination and personal tragedy, she continued her groundbreaking research on radioactivity, which has had a lasting impact on medicine and science. Her perseverance, intellect, and humanitarian spirit make her an extraordinary figure.

Illustration Idea

For the illustration, I could create a split page. On one side, a drawing of my grandmother with a warm smile, perhaps surrounded by family or in her kitchen. On the other side, a sketch of Marie Curie in her laboratory, possibly with symbols of radioactivity or her Nobel Prizes.

Conclusion

These two women, though from vastly different backgrounds and eras, embody qualities that I deeply admire: strength, dedication, kindness, and a passion for making a positive impact on the world. They remind me to always strive for excellence, to be compassionate, and to never give up on my goals.
