The Ghost who does the chores

My name is Nick. I have a ghost in my house. But he is not scary. He is just very bored. Every morning at 5 am, the ghost makes my bed while I am sleeping. I wake up on top of the blankets. Then he feeds the dog. The dog now eats at 5:15 am. The dog is tired and sleepy. After breakfast, the ghost takes the dog for a walk in the dark. My dog comes back with eyes like "please help me".

On Saturdays, the ghost washes the car. But he uses a toothbrush. It takes him six hours. The car is very clean but I have no clean toothbrushes. The ghost also does the shopping. He buys only purple vegetables. Why? Nobody knows. Sometimes he cleans my room. He puts my socks in the fridge. He says, "Cold socks are better." He enjoys dusting the furniture. He sings a song about dust. The song has 45 verses. He vacuums the carpets every day at 6 am. VROOOOM. My neighbours hate him. He waters the flowers with orange juice. The flowers are now orange and sticky. After that, he washes the dishes – but he uses shampoo. The dishes smell like a hair salon. He takes the rubbish out at 3 am. He puts the rubbish on the neighbour's doorstep.

Finally, he does the laundry – but he washes everything with red socks. Now all my T-shirts are pink. I look like a flamingo. I love my ghost. But I really, really need to sleep.
